Niki Spears

Get ready to experience the power of positive energy! As a former school principal, educator, and change leader, Niki shares her passion and enthusiasm for creating positive school culture based on shared leadership – including students as young as 5 years of age. Niki is leading the charge to develop positive schools by sharing the importance of embracing a leadership mindset. Niki believes that leadership extends beyond a title or a position but is a belief that every member of the school is a leader (teachers, staff, students, families) as they can make change from where they are, no matter the position.

Niki has partnered with best-selling author, Jon Gordon and is touring around the country sharing how the success principles from Mr. Gordon’s book, The Energy Bus can reinforce positive leadership as we transform classrooms, schools and communities. Niki resides in Houston, Texas with her husband and three beautiful girls.

Donna Fontenot

Deputy Chief Energy Officer

Donna has been in education for 32 years and has a passion for making a difference in the lives of others. She believes that establishing relationships and creating a positive culture creates success for students, staff, and families. Donna has worked as an educator and counselor, she recognizes the impact adults in our schools have on students’ academic and emotional success and in developing students’ leadership skills.

Donna is currently serving as a Director in Human Resources with Fort Bend ISD in Texas where she is responsible for overseeing teacher recruitment and creating a positive hiring experiences. Donna served as a school counselor at the elementary, middle, and high school levels for 12 years. Her mission in every role she assumes is to be a positive role model for students and adults.

Donna currently resides in Richmond, TX with her husband. She loves spending time with her daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren.

Donna Brown

Chief Relationship Officer/EB Facilitator

Donna is a professional coach covering the Sugar Land and Houston areas. She mentors beginning educators on the implementation of exceptional instruction, creative lessons, and developing a positive attitude in problem-solving. She is a dynamic professional who is dedicated to academic excellence, quality instruction, and a commitment to each relationship she encounters. Open communication and trust are the key components she promotes in her positive relationships!

Donna retired as an elementary principal with twenty-five years of experience in education and ten years of volunteering in her diverse community. She discovered her passion for painting seven years ago and each of her paintings is a message of energy and movement! She channels her vitality into dancing, traveling, music and the love of her family! Her enthusiasm and optimistic spirit are an inspiration to others. She is ready for YOU to jump on board The Energy Bus for Schools Leadership. Just say YES for the ride of a lifetime!

She currently resides in Sugar Land, Texas with her beautiful 88-year-old mother and talented daughter.

Rennie Curran

Chief Relationship Officer/EB Facilitator

Rennie is a speaker, author, musician, and multiple award winning American football linebacker who uses his platform as a professional athlete empowering audiences to overcome obstacles, stay ahead of the competition, and reach their full potential. His experiences of overcoming many circumstances to reach his dream of becoming a 3rd round draft pick in the NFL gives him a unique perspective on what it takes to handle adversity and maximize opportunities while having a positive impact on others.

Rennie has been counseling and inspiring people for many years. In 2013 he published a motivational self-help book entitled ‘Free Agent’ The Perspectives of a Young African American Athlete’. He has been featured on Fox Sports, USA Today, ESPN College Gameday and The Huffington Post.

When Rennie is not training or speaking, he is usually catching up on one his favorite hobbies: music. He grew up playing the piano, drums, and viola. He is also a philanthropist who spends lots of time giving back through several organizations including: Boys and Girls Club, Gifted Foundation, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, MAP Foundation and many more. He resides in Atlanta, GA and has one daughter who keeps him on his toes!

Eddie Damian

Chief Relationship Officer/EB Facilitator

Eddie Damian is a Senior Consultant with Fort Bend ISD in Sugar Land, TX. He is instrumental in creating effective components of leadership development frameworks and leadership programs for district leaders. He is the founder of My Campus Goal Board LLC, a goal tracking and management website that assists teachers in more easily reaching their educational goals.

Eddie has served as a teacher, athletic coach, assistant principal, and principal and in executive level board positions for the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association. Eddie is known for building collaborative solutions and getting results while keeping children in the forefront.

Patience Edwards

Chief Relationship Officer/EB Facilitator

Patience has had the privilege of serving children and families and building positive relationships for over 10 years as a celebrated Master Teacher and educator. She has earned several awards and distinctions of honor for her commitment and dedication to students and families. Patience knows that positively changing the world is an absolute possibility and it starts with positively influencing the people she serves. Patience is the founder of GEMS, a mentorship program for young ladies encouraging leadership, character, service, and vision. She is also the founder of Brainbuzzed Tutoring, an interactive and engaging tutoring opportunity catered to individual needs.

Patience received her B.A in Early Childhood Education from Xavier University in Louisiana, as well as her M.A. in Educational Leadership from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. She fuels her ride by spending time with family and friends, exercising, and traveling the world. Patience is currently an elementary educator where she helps students grow academically while building their confidence through positive thinking. Joining the Energy Bus for Schools Leadership Journey will give her the opportunity to share her JOY and enthusiasm with fellow world changers!

Gregory M. Goins, Ed.D.

Chief Relationship Officer/EB Facilitator

Dr. Greg Goins is a veteran school leader with 15 years of experience as a school district superintendent throughout southern Illinois. He is also the host of The Goin’ Digital Show, a podcast that features many of the nation’s top school leaders, authors, film makers and innovators in K-12 education. The Goin’ Digital Show is a member of the Education Podcast Network.

Dr. Goins is also an Associate Professor in Educational Leadership and specializes in leadership theory, school and community relations and the principalship. He previously served as the Chairman of the Illinois Beta Club Council, representing the state for three years as a member of the National Beta Club Board of Directors. Beta Club is the nation’s largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization with a mission to promote the principles of academic achievement, leadership, character and community service for more than 450,000 active members.

As a Connected Educator, Dr. Goins is a popular keynote speaker and presenter who delivers a passionate message about the importance of creating Future Ready Schools for a new generation of digital kids.

Christy Launius

Chief Relationship Officer/EB Facilitator

Christy has devoted her life to spreading joy and positivity through building productive relationships. Christy chronicles her personal journey while imparting witty jewels of joy in her blog, “Transparent Me.” Daily, she carries out her mission of inspiring joy in future generations, using music as a tool to motivate, encourage and develop creativity in over 800 students as an elementary music teacher in Cabot Public Schools.

She recently achieved one of her lifelong dreams with the publication her first inspirational book entitled “Seek Pray Grow” and currently drafting the second edition.

Christy earned a B.A. in Music Education from Arkansas Tech University and is a Master Teacher with eighteen years of experience in Arkansas and Texas. She is honored to have been a team member of the pilot program for the Energy Bus Schools Leadership Journey!

Stephanie Martinez

Chief Relationship Officer/EB Facilitator

Stephani brings 11 years of classroom energy into the mix. From building both a classroom and departmental culture built on positive energy and growth, she works to ensure all leaders are comfortable with moving in the right direction. Stephani supports the Energy Bus for Schools by creating meaningful relationships to foster the movement of positive change.

Cleveland Mouton

Chief Relationship Officer/EB Facilitator

Cleveland Mouton is an award-winning Educator, Master Teacher, and Change Agent. Cleveland believes in empowering students and adult learners so that they are leaders of their own learning. Cleveland enjoys building positive relationships and inspiring others through his innovative ideas and ability to take on new challenges with a positive attitude. 

Cleveland’s diverse background and experience give him the unique ability to make special connections with students and educators from all over the world. He is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where he received his Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, his Master’s in Educational Leadership, and his second Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. Cleveland believes that The Energy Bus for Schools Leadership Journey will help him fulfill his desire of growing leaders at all levels. Cleveland currently resides in Houston, Texas where he is an educator at Fort Bend Independent School District.

Cindy Ward

Chief Relationship Officer/EB Facilitator

Chief Relationship Officer/Trainer for the Energy Bus for Schools Leadership Journey, Cindy Ward is an award-winning Master Teacher and enthusiastic Campus Administrator with over 20 years of experience in education. Cindy thrives in diverse settings: low-income schools, bilingual settings, and at-risk populations while generating high levels of student growth. Cindy’s life work addresses climate change in every educational setting (K-12) through building relationships with students, teachers, parents, and administrators to ensure a sound ecosystem of learning.

Cindy, a first generation college graduate, earned her Bachelors of Science from Texas A&M University in Interdisciplinary Studies and Masters of Education from Lamar University. Joining the Energy Bus for Schools Leadership Journey is a dream come true for her. Cindy ignites passengers with her optimism! She establishes and maintains positive, productive environments and proudly prepares for the ride ahead. Currently, a resident of Schertz, TX, she and her husband have raised 5 children and live only 8 minutes from their first grandchild!
